Famous Poems About Friendship

One of my favorite famous poems about friendship is the one you see below, written by Robert Forst.

Time to Talk

When a friend calls to me from the road
And slows his horse to a meaning walk,
I don't stand still and look around
On all the hills I haven't hoed,
And shout from where I am, What is it?
No, not as there is a time talk.
I thrust my hoe in the mellow ground,
Blade-end up and five feet tall,
And plod I go up to the stone wall
For a friendly visit.

To me this poem is very simple, but it speaks volumes. This poem talks about the importance of friendship, and how it is vital to nourish it and maintain it through friendly contact. The farmer in the poem, stopped everything that he was doing, and took the time and effort to go down the road to talk to his friend.

This little friendship poem should be read and analyzed by everyone in our busy fast-paced society. Maybe it will help us remember that work is not more important than all the relationships we have with people.

Even though we are busy, we need to make the time to visit our friends and see how they are doing. It is human nature to seek out friendships, as these friendships help fill many voids, among those the void of lonliness.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the famous poems about friendship page, and remember the above poem by Robert Frost, whenever you think you don't have the time to talk to your friends.
