My friend, I saw your hair today,

We've all had "bad hair days," when it seems like nothing goes right from the moment we get up in the morning. Keeping a sense of humor about things is the best way to get through days like these. Sometimes, it takes the help of a friend to keep the hard times in perspective.
One day, my friend and colleague Norine showed up at work with the most awful haircut. Apparently, she had decided to give the local beauty school a try, but I guess whoever cut her hair had a lot left to learn. She felt really awful about the way she looked, and she wasn't sure what to do.
No one wants to look foolish, but sometimes we look worse to ourselves than to anyone else. She is a beautiful woman, and we reminded her that her hair would grow back, but she was not so sure. Another co-worker found this poem online and could not resist giving it to her.
I'm not sure she appreciated being told that her hair looked crazy, but it did make her laugh. Fortunately, she was able to find a professional stylist to fix up her hair, and now we can all joke about the haircut fiasco together.
