One of the best things about having good friends is that you are there for each other through good times and bad. Even the hardest of times can seem better when you have a close friend beside you to pick you up and stand beside you.
My best friend was going through a hard time. She had just been laid off from her job, and she was having trouble finding anyone who was hiring. On top of that, getting laid off had really undermined her confidence, and she was no longer sure of her abilities. Of course, I know how talented she is, and I hated to see her so down.
I tried to think of what I could do to boost her self-esteem and help her feel better about herself. I found this poem online, and it seemed to say exactly what I was feeling. I hand-wrote the verse on a card and gave it to her when we met for coffee, and it really brought a smile to her face.
She told me afterward that it was this poem that gave her the strength to go on; eventually, she found the job of her dreams, and things are better than ever for her now. You can support and encourage your friends, too, with the gift of inspirational friendship poetry.
