Friendship is Beautiful
Once there were two caterpillars,
Crawling up two giant pillars.
Soon they both did reach the top,
And so decided there to stop.
One then said, very inspired:
"Let's cocoon, we can't climb higher!"
So they did, and then they were
Two butterflies, gorgeous for sure!
"This is great!" one of them cried,
"I'm happy with you by my side!"
Friendship is beautiful, so you see,
Those butterflies are just like you and me.

What a cute and happy poem to express the way that good friends can make their way through life together. A friendship may start out as an ordinary acquaintance; with time and shared experiences, a friendship can blossom into something beautiful.
There is nothing as important in life as our friends, family, and all those who care about us. When we see someone every day, we can take them for granted no matter how much we care about them. We should always keep in mind that life is unpredictable and precious, and we should never miss an opportunity to show someone how much we care about them.
My friend Melissa lives right down the street from me, and we typically spend part of every day together; our favorite time is when we get home from work, and we share a couple of glasses of wine. We talk about everything - relationships, our childhood, our problems, hopes and sorrows.
One day, Melissa was in a horrible car accident. It was a frightening time - we were not sure if she was going to make it. I was so glad that I had let her know whenever I could that I valued her friendship and cared about her. Fortunately, she recovered, and she agrees with me that sending poems for a friend is a unique and important way to show your loved ones that you care.
