Yearn
What is best on summer days,
With their golden sunny rays,
Is spending them with you, my friend,
And hoping that they'll never end.

So glad that you are here, my friend.
Feel the breeze run through our hair,
Sitting in a new beach chair,

A poem can stir the emotions like nothing else can, bringing back happy memories and celebrating the good times in life. This poem reminds me of the vacation I spent with my best friend a few years ago - a time I had wished would never end.
We had both been working hard all year, and since we were both single at the time, we decided we would take a vacation together. We booked a trip to a Caribbean island, and while we were there, we had the time of our lives. Long, lazy days of lounging on the sand by the ocean, talking about anything or just sitting in silence - we could have stayed there forever.
Unfortunately, like all good things, this special time had to end; but we still talk about it all the time. The other day, I was surfing the web and happened to find a site dedicated to friendship poems. I found this poem, and I could not resist pasting it to an email and sending it to my friend.
